Yousei Feedback [Spoilers]

-Some of the endings are based on your relationship with your friends. Specifically, siding with the twins or Gurski. If you try to be balanced between them, you won't achieve endings with either.
-Telling the truth builds trust, and lying lowers it. Building trust with certain characters will help you achieve your mission.
-Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.

It cuts straight into David's response. Kangai normally speaks it first.

I *think* I got to one of the endings. Probably the most bad ending with how amazing I am with my detective skills. =,) Poor twins. ;_;

That's actually one of the harder endings to attain, I think, since you have to be on good terms with a lot of characters to make it happen. I'd say congrats, but considering the nature of the ending, it's not really cause for celebration. >.>

Ellipsis spacing is generally consistent to "no spaces after an ellipsis":
"Oh! Um...I guess so."
but there is one spot where there is a space afterwards:
"Oh, um... I was born in Edgewater."
Incidentally, I think putting a space after an ellipsis looks better.


- The Save / Load screen doesn't respond to the mousewheel, which would be quite convenient.

- The biology building's back door has corrupted graphics for the lamp, door and keypad when in Examine mode.

Lol when the "Who is the killer" solution happened with the giant list of suspects I'm like "OH COME ON" OTZ (But I got it right the first time, no way o.o )

There are two depressing endings, one creepy one, and the true end in which they catch the killer, make friends, and then leave a door open for the next game. I won't give details beyond the hints in the first post, just to be sure I didn't make the true end too hard to achieve.

I liked the one I found now better, much better.

And the balance was great, and this is coming from someone who is all OTZ with detective work.

The Nathan is dead route:

"My thought it cut off by my phone ringing."

For all the games in the Jisei series, each of the characters has a hidden friendship value which increases whenever you tell them the truth about something (Or otherwise do them a favor, like asking Aaron to stop taking pictures to make Naoki happer). Getting high friendship values with the murderer usually leads to them knowing too much and escaping. Getting high friendship values with everyone else usually leads to good endings or extra information about the main story.

For the twins' ending, that requires high friendship values with Aki+Naoki, and Jupiter. With a high Aki+Naoki value, Aki will offer to come along to see Jupiter, and Kangai will say yes. If you have a low friendship value with them, Kan will actually turn them down. Then if you have a high friendship value with Jupiter, she'll volunteer extra information about Johansen's secret project, which leads to that ending. Low trust value means the story goes on and everyone goes to see David.

For the ending with Nathan's untimely demise, that requires a high friendship value with Gurski (which you can't achieve alongside a high friendship value with the twins). Shawn will suggest that Kan go get help, and if Kan likes Gurski enough, he'll agree. This gives Shawn and Chance enough time to race over to the lab themselves and kill Nathan.

If you don't have a high friendship value with Gurski, Kangai will turn down Shawn's suggestion, leading to Kangai's untimely end. In this case, Shawn only has enough time to call Nathan and warn him, rather than dispose of him.

And the true ending is based on getting as close to Chance as possible so that she'll be present when you confront Nathan.

Increasing the friendship values of things is usually straightforward - lie and it goes down, tell the truth and it goes up. Some of them make you pick between characters (usually Gurski and Aki). I think there are a few choices where the outcome is not immediately clear. When you try to defend yourself after first meeting Jupiter+Nathan+David, each reaction appeals to a different member. Jupiter prefers the straightforward one, David prefers the joking one, and Nathan prefers the violent one. In general though, endings are based pretty heavily on the relationships you develop.

You should let the player give Kangai the option to take that 15 minute phone survey. XD He'll probably point out that's a stupid idea considering the situation.
